The Certified Security Operations Analyst (CSOA) is an intermediate, vendor-neutral certification for the people who run a security operations center. It validates that you understand SOC and SIEM foundations, can work with log sources and data, can build detection and correlation, can hunt for threats, can triage and respond to incidents, and can report on metrics and drive automation and compliance. The exam is computer adaptive and performance-based, runs for two hours, and the credential is kept current through continuing education.
