The Certified Prompt Engineering Architect (CPEA) is a beginner, vendor-neutral certification for the people who design prompts and prompt systems for large language models. It validates that you understand prompt engineering foundations, can apply prompting techniques, can work effectively with language models, can ground answers with retrieval and tools, can evaluate and test outputs, and can handle safety, governance and cost. The exam is computer adaptive and performance-based, and the credential is kept current through continuing education.

CPEA is a continuing-education certification, like the CE credentials from CompTIA and ISC2. It is valid for three years from the day you pass.
