The Certified IT Support Specialist (CITS) is a beginner, vendor-neutral certification for the people who support IT across an organization. It validates that you understand IT fundamentals, networking and connectivity, operating systems and software, the basics of systems administration, a sound troubleshooting and support process, and security and service management. It goes a little broader than front-line device support, toward the systems and networks behind it. The exam is computer adaptive and performance-based, and the credential is kept current through continuing education.
