The Certified API Engineering Professional (CAEP) is an advanced, vendor-neutral certification for the engineers who design and build APIs. It validates that you understand REST foundations, can design clean and versioned APIs, can secure them with modern auth, understand when to use GraphQL, gRPC and event-driven styles, can test and document them, and can run them behind gateways with caching, throttling and monitoring. The exam is computer adaptive and performance-based, and the credential is kept current through continuing education.
