The Certified AI Risk and Ethics Professional (CAREP) is an intermediate, vendor-neutral certification for the people who make sure AI is used responsibly. It validates that you understand AI risk and ethics, can find and address fairness and bias, can build transparency, explainability and accountability into AI decisions, can run an AI governance program aligned to frameworks like the NIST AI RMF and laws like the EU AI Act, can manage risk across the whole AI lifecycle, and can handle the privacy and security that responsible deployment demands. The exam is computer adaptive and performance-based, and the credential is kept current through continuing education.
